E-transport facility to address oil price hike

Pueblo de Panay and Global Electronic Transport (GET) ventured into electronic transport facilities to
address the rising oil prices.
In a press briefing on August 29, Bob Ong, president and chief executive officer of Pueblo, said that
Roxas City and Capiz province have been consuming gasoline for private and public transport facilities.
But the emergence of electronic jeeps of GET responds to the agony of the transport sector that has
been clamoring about the continuous oil price increases.
“The cost of oil is causing much burden to the drivers and operators. With e-jeeps, there’s no need for
gasoline,” he said.
Ong also said they will start soon with five units of e-jeeps in Roxas City.
Freddie Tinga, president of GET, said that with e-jeep, passengers are comfortable because it is air-
conditioned and free from pollution.
Each unit costs P4.5 million, which will be split by GET and Pueblo.
GET guarantees Pueblo of lifetime support services for mechanical and electronics trouble,
maintenance, and battery.*
