Escudero: Stop political bickering

As tensions heightened, Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero is calling to end political bickering and embrace peace.

“We should all be soldiers for peace,” said Escudero while at the induction of Roxas City Councilor Victor Federico “Pip” Acepcion as the district governor of Rotary International District 3850

Ang ating bansa ay unti-unting lumulugmok na lang sa bangayan at awayan. Ang mga susunod na linggo, buwan, at taon mapupuno marahil ‘yan tulad ng nagdaang buwan (Our country is slowly sinking into conflict and strife. The next weeks, months, and years will probably be filled with it just like in the past few months),” Escudero said.

Instead of focusing on political allegiances, Escudero believes that it would be best to focus on the country.

Escudero also reiterated that the elections are over and political affiliations must be set aside.

Ang dapat na lamang kulay na dapat dalhin ng bawat isa sa atin, para sa akin ay kulay na sumasagisag sa bandila ng ating bansa (To me, the colors that all of us should represent are those of the Philippine flag),” he added.

Instead of political bickering, Escudero urges to shift attention towards the needs of the poor.
