The arrival of an international cargo ship at Culasi Port last week is seen to benefit Roxas City.
“The entry of the international cargo vessel directly into Roxas will open up many opportunities in business, employment, and economic development,” said Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.
The bulk carrier Hoa Binh 45 sailing under the flag of Vietnam is the first international cargo ship to have arrived in Roxas City.
For Dadivas, the cargo vessel’s arrival signals that Culasi Port can welcome other international cargo vessels in transporting goods that would result in lower prices.
“The price of some commodities will be lower, benefiting the people,” said Dadivas.
The mayor is also upbeat of the possibility of directly exporting goods not only from Roxas City, but other places in Capiz province. (Photo from Mayor Dadivas Facebook page.)
