Gen. Wanky warns vs‘ninja cops’ in Capiz

POLICE Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, regional directo of Police Regional Office (PRO6), warned cops in Capiz not to be “ninja cops” or cops who resell portion of illegal drugs that were confi scated.
“Aside from being terminated from the service, you will be facing criminal charges in court. Remember that,” Wanky warned during a March 22, 2024 command visit at Camp Teodorico Apil, the headquarters
of the Capiz Provincial Police Office (CPPO) in Roxas City Wanky told the CPPO men and women led by Police Colonel Jerome Afuyong Jr. not to be tempted to do something
illegal, especially involving illegal drugs.
When asked about the
illegal drug trade in Western Visayas, Wanky said shabu is more expensive here than in
Metro Manila. The prevailing price in Metro Manila is only
P5,000 per gram, but it is
P20,000 per gram in the region.
Wanky explained the
expensive price of shabu is
due to scarcity because of the tight monitoring and bigvolume seizures during police operations.
Meanwhile, Wanky recognized the outstanding performance of Afuyong as provincial director of CPPO.
Wanky and Afuyong also
distributed awards to best
