Jamindan gov’t mulls establishment of sports complex

Architecture students of Capiz State University paid a courtesy visit to the office of Jamindan Mayor Mac Valdemar for their proposed thesis, a requirement for their course. During their meeting, the mayor discussed the municipal government’s plan to establish a sports complex for the town which would include a grandstand, oval track, standard football field, badminton court, and tennis court. This is one of the wishes of the town so that sports can be promoted and the children can start training from elementary school, the mayor said. Jamindan is known as the “Football Capital of Capiz.” It is said that next year’s funding will include the purchase of land for this purpose.
