JCI-Roxas Halaran successfully hosts Visayas meeting

The Junior Chamber International (JCI)-Roxas Halaran successfully hosted the second JCI-Visayas Area
Council Meeting in Roxas City last month.
The May 11-12, 2024 council meeting marked the onset of carrying out numerous activities and
programs under the leadership of JCI-Roxas Halaran Chapter President John Paul Sorongon.
Present were representatives from different chapters in Capiz: Roxas-Makawiwili, Roxas Sinadya, and
Panit-an Tumandok.
There were also chapters from Iloilo such as JCI-Iloilo and JCI-Regatta as well as other chapters from
Western, Eastern and Central Visayas.
During the forum, JCI-Iloilo 2022 President Marsha Angelie G. Ang emphasized the importance of JCI
Local Action Guide while JCI-Philippines Western Visayas 2024 Regional Vice President Michael Angelo B.
Zayco expounded the Art of Bid Writing.
The members also discussed ways to improve each chapters through the ACM Proper Training of officers
and members as well as discussions on strengthening environmental campaigns and other social
campaigns.
Aside from fellowship and the awarding of the Youth Leadership and Excellence Award, there were
other activities including outreach to day care centers as well as medical and surgical missions.
Meanwhile, JCI is continuously supporting activities of fellow chapters in projects like JCI Discover, JCI
Explore Bootcamp, “Think Green” of JCI Aklan Kalantiao, and “Bags-to-School” of JCI-Visayas Area.
