Making Things Easy for Others in These Difficult Times

Metro Roxas Central Rotarians give love in the midst of pandemic
Special to The Capiz Times
ROXAS CITY—The Corona Virus Disease-19 (Covid-19) pandemic could not stop the members of the Rotary Club of Metro Roxas Central (RCMRC) from making things easy for other people in their community.
Even in the most difficult times, RCMRC members—led by transformational president Roselyn Isada-Alovera—volunteer themselves to offer love gifts to the medical front-liners, Locally Stranded Individuals (LSI) and least fortunate children and street dwellers by giving them foods, face shields and facemasks.
On August 20, the Rotarians distributed face shields and facemasks to Barangay Baybay, Tanque, Banica, VI and employees of The Capiz Times and Juvieta Beach House.
On September 15, they gave out food to LSI quarantined at the Hortus Botanicus in Barangay Milibili, Roxas City. The Rotarians cooked arroz caldo with boiled eggs with malunggay and herbs for them.
Then on Sept. 18, they celebrated the birthday of fellow Rotarian Edrose Mae-Alovera Tang by giving out food packs to Roxas City Emergency Response Team (RCERT), Blind Union, Mentally Disable Street Dwellers and Street Children.
If there’s one thing these most difficult times taught us, it is the generosity of the heart which knows no bounds if it were for the welfare of others.
Go, go, Rotarians. Stay healthy and keep safe always, everyone!
