With his reelection, Mayor Raymond “Mon-Mon” Malapajo of Maayon vowed that the building for the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP-Capiz Chapter) will soon rise.
“We hope that the building will rise by 2026,” Malapajo said during the sidelights of the August 22, 2025 elections of the new set of LMP-Capiz Chapter officers.
Malapajo said the proposed LMP building was already planned during his first term as LMP president in 2022, but did not materialize.
“It was because of the elections and the election banning,” Malapajo said.
The mayor disclosed that the Office of Senator Bong Go already had allocation for the construction of the building, which will rise near the Capiz Doctors Hospital in Roxas City.
Once finished, the building standing on the land donated by Malapajo himself will host meetings of all mayors and other important occasions.
Malapajo also expressed gratitude with his reelection as LMP-Capiz Chapter president.
“The trust and confidence you have given me is an honor I deeply value,” Malapajo said.
“Salamat guid sa inyo pagsalig kag suporta. Kita magahugpong para sa pag-uswag sang aton Liga, magapabakod sang kolaborasyon sa tunga sang mga banwa, kag magapadayon sang aton tinutuyo nga matuod nga pagserbisyo publiko nga my integredad kag dedikasyon (Thank you for your trust and support. We will unite for the advancement of our League, strengthen collaboration among towns, and continue our goal of true public service with integrity and dedication,)” Malapajo added.
