Life feels like a series of challenges, and sometimes, the hardest part comes just before we reach the end. Lahat tayo, naranasan na ito—whether it’s finishing a school project, achieving a career milestone, or even dealing with personal challenges. Parang ang lapit na ng success, pero may mga obstacles pa ring humahadlang sa atin.
Isa sa mga dahilan kung bakit mahirap pa kahit malapit na, is the lack of energy that we feel. After working so hard for so long, we’re physically and mentally drained. Kita na ang finish line, pero the energy to get there seems to have faded. This is the point when frustration starts to build up, and we begin to question whether it’s worth pushing through or if we should just give up.
Another reason we struggle despite being so close is the fear of failure. Kahit malapit na, questions start to form in our minds. Minsan, we start to wonder, “What if I don’t make it?” or “What if everything goes wrong?” This fear of failing, kahit na malapit na tayo, is a challenge we all need to overcome. It’s hard to push past that fear, but it’s essential to remember that success requires a leap of faith.
The pressure of time is another factor that makes the last steps even harder. Minsan, parang ang daming nakataya sa final push, and the pressure just builds up. The closer we get, the more we feel the weight of time. This sense of urgency can actually make it harder to focus and finish the task at hand, because we start to overthink. Instead of seeing the goal clearly, we focus on the stress that comes with the deadline.
Sometimes, the last stretch feels heavier than expected. It feels like life is testing how badly we want to succeed. But curiously, it’s at these moments when we’re actually closest to achieving our goal. Kaya kahit mahirap, we need to keep pushing forward, because success is just around the corner.
During these times, it’s important to take a step back and breathe. Hindi lagi kailangan magmadali. Sometimes, it’s okay to pause, take a break, and regain your energy. Hindi ibig sabihin na kapag tumigil tayo ay nawawala na ang goal. The goal will still be there when we return. With renewed energy and a fresh perspective, the last steps will not feel as hard.
Having support from others can make all the difference at this point. Minsan, kailangan natin ng isang tao na magsasabi na “Kaya mo yan” o “Malapit na, konti na lang.” Even a small word of encouragement can reignite the motivation we need to finish strong. It helps to be surrounded by people who believe in you and remind you how far you’ve come.
It’s also crucial to celebrate the small wins. Kahit hindi pa tapos, every little progress counts. Recognizing these small victories along the way helps build momentum. It reminds us that we are getting closer to our goal, even if the finish line feels distant. Every effort, no matter how small, brings us closer to success. It teaches us resilience. It shows us that the final stretch is often the hardest, but it’s also the most rewarding. If we can push through and finish what we started, we’ll come out stronger and more capable of facing future challenges.
While the last steps towards our goals may seem the hardest, they are also the most rewarding. The satisfaction and sense of accomplishment that come from overcoming the hardest challenges are unmatched. So, the next time we find ourselves thinking, “Malapit na, pero mahirap pa,” let’s remind ourselves that it’s just the final challenge before we reach our success. Keep going, because success is within our reach. Kaya natin ‘to!
