ROXAS CITY—Metro Roxas Water District (MRWD) General Manager Gonzalo Glen Delgado said that it cannot offer free water consumption to its consumers.

“Kami ang gabayad sang amon operation (We are the ones paying for our operations),” Delgado explained in the May 5 edition of the Governor’s Update on the Capiz Kabalaka Information Center Facebook page.

Delgado said what they offer is free water for fire hydrants and free bottled water to personnel designated at the borders and checkpoint areas.

Delgado asked the consumers to report cases of low water pressure, leakages, illegal connections and other concerns so they can be addressed.

He also asked Gov. Esteban Evan Contreras for a water truck that could be provided to the MRWD.

The water truck, with capacity of 8–10 cu.m. will be used to deliver water in case of calamities or situations like  Covid-19.
