ROXAS CITY—Police Col. Julio Gustilo Jr. recently advised the public to not spread “rumors” on the Sept. 7 vehicular accident which killed two medical front-liners.
The incident happened in Ivisan, Capiz which killed Darius Yap and Ernie Fulgencio. It also injured a Capiz cop and civilians.
According to Gustilo, rumors would “only muddle the ongoing investigation and create negative issues,” per Capiz Provincial Police Office (CPPO) press release on Facebook.
Gustilo assured that they will conduct an unbiased investigation.
Gustilo said that he already issued ordered the relief of Police Capt. Alcer Moncera as OIC- chief of police of Dumalag town. Moncera was also injured in the incident.
Moncera has been assigned to the Provincial Holding and Accounting Unit (PHAU) of CPPO.
Gustilo also advised motorists to drive with caution particularly during nighttime.
