Murielle Andrada Ojera is this year’s Buyloganay Queen of the Municipality of Ivisan, which is celebrating its Buyloganay Festival 2026 that honors San Nicolas de Tolentino.
Proclaimed by Capiz Governor Fredenil “Oto” Castro, Ojera is representing the religious sector.
Born on November 22, 2004, the 21-year-old Ojera is the youngest of three children of former Capiz Electric Cooperative (CAPELCO) board of director Maricar Andrada-Ojera and her husband, the late Rodel Marcelino F. Ojera. She is also the granddaughter of former Ivisan mayor Carmelo T. Andrada.
A consistent honor student, Ojera completed her elementary education at Capiz Commercial School and graduated with high honors in the STEM strand from Capiz National High School.
She is currently on her fourth year as a Medical Laboratory Science student at Central Philippine University (CPU) in Iloilo City, where she is completing her clinical internship at Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC).
Beyond academics, Ojera has distinguished herself as a student leader and public speaker. She previously served as a Provincial Student Council Board Member at CPU, leading the Ministry of Finance and Budgeting.
Her leadership earned her recognition as Most Outstanding Board Member and Most Outstanding Ministry, while her skills in public speaking also brought her the Best Debater award and third place overall during CPU’s University Week Debate.
Ojera and the Buyloganay royal court will take part in the civic parade and Sadsad sa Buyloganay on September 9. It will be followed by the religious procession, vespers mass, Gab-i Sang Maragtas, and fireworks display. (Photo courtesy of AIO LGU Ivisan)
