Government of Capiz through the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office in partnership with
the Philippine Registry for Cultural Property (PRECUP) Section of the National Commission for Culture
and the Arts (NCCA), conducted the orientation on the Philippine Registry of Cultural Property and
workshop on PRECUP forms on August 24-25, 2023.
The workshop highlighted the value of proper documentation and preservation of our cultural resources.
Tourism officers cultural workers, and researchers in the Province of Capiz were invited to participate in the workshop as the resource persons from NCCA – Micah Carando, Gaia Mercado, and Ceciel Rosqueta – guided them in filling out the PRECUP forms and gave technical knowledge for proper documentation.
The two-day workshop was fi lled with understanding and fostering a deeper appreciation for
the signifiance of cultural heritage and the vital role each plays in safeguarding the province’s cultural heritage in generations to come.
