Papua New Guineans visit Pink Mansion

Some 15 people from Papua New Guinea representing the government and various non-government organizations have visited the Pink Mansion Inc. located at Mejorada Subd., Inzo Arnaldo Village, Roxas City, Capiz on June 27.

Michael Alejaga, president of Pink Mansion, was joined by Capiz Provincial Board Member Pepe del Rosario in welcoming the guests.

Del Rosario said that Pink Mansion is a partner of the government in serving the medical and socio-economic issues in the community, particularly those with human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.

Alejaga briefed the guests that he started Pink Mansion in March 2021 in his desire to help the people living with HIV/AIDS.

It was a bleeding operation at the start because he spent his own money. Only later that he was able to avail of funding assistance from Love Your Life Foundation.

Pink Mansion cater services such as medical and health diagnosis activity, health education campaign, mental health education, feeding and education program, animal care and environment campaign, support for the indigenous group, oasis of care, open door system, transhealth, livelihood and career opportunities, and more focused on HIV awareness campaign and education.

According to Alejaga, as of this date, there were more than 50 HIV cases that the group has catered in the form of medical and psychological support.

To meet the financial needs of the civil society organization, Alejaga said they are operating laboratory services such as stool exam, drug test, HBsAG, AFB, urinalysis, COVIDAG, pregnancy test, blood typing, and X-Ray, also complete blood count.
