A ceremonial inoculation of the province’s 12 to 17 years old with comorbidity at the vaccination center of Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH) in Roxas City, Nov. 4, kicked off the COVID-19 pediatric A3 vaccination in the province.
Governor Esteban Evan Contreras officially announced the start of pediatric A3 vaccination in a short program that was graced by Department of Health (DOH) and Provincial Health Office (PHO)
officials, among others.
“By next week we will open the vaccination to all pediatric A3 in the province,” he stressed, adding that the provincial government will also utilize its district hospitals for the COVID-19 vaccination of walk-in clients provincewide.
Based on the PHO data, the roll out of pediatric A3 vaccination targets to inoculate 90,000 individuals.
The PHO has also enough COVID-19 vaccines from the national government at its storage facility aside from the upcoming donations this month.
The province has already received seven vaccine brands like Sinovac from China, Sputnik V from Russia, AstraZeneca from the United Kingdom and Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson from the United States of America.
A total of 550,518 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were given by the DOH to Capiz from March 8 to November 4 this year. (PIA Capiz)
