Pfizer vaccines set for OFWs, organ transplant patients

ROXAS CITY — The Pfizer vaccines allocated for Roxas City were set for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), seafarers, and organ transplant patients.

A total of 125 Pfizer doses was allocated for the city.

“Bangud limitado lang ang supply sini nga bakuna guinapakamaayo ko nga ihatag ang Pfizer Vaccine sa sektor nga mas nagakinahanglan sini,” Mayor Ronnie Dadivas said.

The said doses would be for OFWs and seafarers heading to Europe, North America, and the Middle East in the next four months, as they are requiring specific vaccines such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca, or Moderna.

“Guinapanan-aw ko nga kulangon guihapon ang suplay bangud madamo sang OFW’s [kag] seafarers nga taga-Roxas nga dapat mabakunahan sini,” Dadivas said.

Registration for the shots had begun on June 22.

Dadivas advised OFWs heading to Asian countries like Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia to go with any vaccine brands as it is being accepted by these regions.
