The Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) in Capiz had the highest rating for client satisfaction anywhere in Western Visayas.
The PhilHealth’s Capiz Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) scored a satisfaction rating of 99.96 % this year, besting other localities in Western Visayas.
These were the findings from the 20,307 respondents in Capiz surveyed by PhilHealth as of July 31, 2026.
Ranking second was PhilHealth-Guimaras. It was followed by PhilHealth in Bacolod City, Iloilo, Antique, Sara, Kabankalan, Aklan, Pavia, and Sagay.
Last year, PhilHealth-Capiz also scored a high rating with a client satisfaction of 99.81%.
PhilHealth is also pushing for more members in Capiz to avail the primary care program known as YAKAP or the Yaman ng Kalusugan.
Janimhe Jalbuna, head of PhilHealth-6 Public Affairs Unit, said that less than 20% of the provincial population is registered with YAKAP.
Of the nearly 800,000 residents of Capiz, Jalbuna said around 161,000 are registered with YAKAP.
PhilHealth-Capiz Head Joe Frederick Diaz said Yakap members must wait at least a year to be able to transfer to another YAKAP-accredited clinic and doctor.
YAKAP members can avail free check-up, referrals and laboratory tests.
