THE Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) recently launched its Konsulta Package at Sigma, Capiz. Konsulta Package, a new program of PhilHealth that caters to all Filipinos, covers all medical services that include medical consultation, laboratory examination, birthing services, and others.
The program launching in Sigma was led by Mayor Dante Esteban in Sigma and Janet Monteverde, PhilHealth-6 OIC Vice President, and regional director.
Monteverde said, “imagine, urine examination only costs P500, but this is free in the Konsulta Package.
Unlike before, only one member per family can avail of PhilHealth services. Now,
with Kunsolta Package, everybody, all members of the family, can avail of medical services.”
According to Sigma Rural Health Unit Officer Ma. Theresa Tan, 548 individuals are presently accredited by
PhilHealth in the town.
She urged everyone to go the health center for accreditation because it is the objective of PhilHealth and the Department of Health (DOH) to insured Filipinos.
