The Provincial Health Office of Capiz will prioritize health workers then the elderly for the inoculation of the coronavirus vaccines.
Dr. Ramon Alex Nolasco, acting provincial health officer, led the COVID-19 vaccination simulation exercise at the poolside of the Villareal Stadium on February 15.
“Nahibaluan man naton sa subong nga amo ang mga health workers ang paga unahon, to be followed by senior citizens, then the remaining indigent applications kag ang aton uniformed personnel,” he said.
The vaccination program has three phases, he said.
First is the pre-implementation phase, the implementation phase, and the post-implementation phase, he said, adding that the vaccination simulation exercise was part of the pre-implementation phase.
The simulation exercise is very crucial prior to the implementation, Nolasco said, adding that the purpose of the simulation exercise will identify gaps and loopholes of the procedures in the inoculation stages.
The flow will start in triage for registration, then for the health education and counseling, screening, vaccination proper and the monitoring of vaccinees.
The exercise, which was said to be successful, was assessed by the Department of Health, and other concerned agencies.*
