‘Pinoy Aquaman’ swims for marine protection

Prosecutor Ingemar Macarine or more popularly known as “Pinoy Aquaman” brought his marine
protection advocacy to Roxas City.
This was after the lawyer from Bohol made history as the first to swim unassisted from Olotoyan Island
to the People’s Park last March 17, 2024.
Pinoy Aquaman took 3 hours, 15 minutes, and 50 seconds to swim from Olotoyan to the People’s Park,
where he was greeted by Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.
On behalf of the Roxas City Government, Dadivas thanked Macarine for the open swim activity that
advocated for clean seas, environmental protection, tourism, and healthy lifestyle.
Macarine’s swim was supported by Roxas City Councilors Gary Potato, Fernando Viterbo, Jaime Altavas,
and Rey Magallanes.
Prosecutor Jomar Betita also backed Macarine’s historical swim. (Photos from Mayor Ronnie Dadivas
