PNP: 3-day nat’l jabs generally peaceful

The Philippine National Police in Western Visayas recorded no incident relative to the three-day Bayahinan Bakunahan event.

“The three-day National COVID-19 Vaccination implementation in the Western Visayas from November 29 to December 1, 2021 was generally peaceful,” Police Regional Office 6 Public Information Officer Lt. Col. Arnel Solis said in a press release.

Solis said that more than 800 police personnel were deployed by PRO 6 to provide security in different vaccination sites across the region for the entire three-day event.

Also, the PRO6 deployed 167 and 126 personnel as Medical Reserve Force, and Encoder and Technical Support, respectively.

The successful security coverage, he said, was the result of close coordination and collaboration among government agencies and cooperation of every individual who are going to the different vaccination sites for inoculation.

Meanwhile PRO6 regional director Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo expressed his heartfelt gratitude and commended the deployed personnel for their commitment and dedication to duty.

He also thanked the other agencies for the collective efforts in bringing the three-day event to success.

“Thank you for your cooperation and individual sacrifices for several days in order to fulfill your assigned tasks by maintaining peace and order, and by providing public safety services in your areas of assignments. Indeed, it contributed to a successful conduct of the program,”  Dongbo said. (PIA6)
