The Pontevedra Municipal Police Station intensified its Information Operation through dialogues/pulong-pulong and flyers distribution on the preventions of different Crimes.
The anti-crime campaign also involved teaching and encouraging the public to adopt better self-protection measures that can help remove crime opportunities.
In order to be free from these crimes, Pontevedra MPS also intensified target hardening measures by conducting Checkpoints, Oplan Bakal-Sita at videoke bars, mobile and beat patrolling.
Police presence and visibility was also increased, especially at night time.
Likewise, the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPAT) was mobilized to conduct ronda within their respective barangays in order to prevent the occurence of crimes.
