PRESIDENT ROXAS, Capiz Mayor Receliste “Tanoy” Escolin said the town’s public market has now legal identity. Escolin has recently acquired a certified copy of the deed of donation from the National Archives of the Philippines in Manila.

This is to counter the issue of his detractors that the public market of the town is not owned by the local government, he said.

The certified copy of them deed of donation was signed by Ma. Teresa Pagaragan, chief of the Archives Collection and Assessment Division. It also showed that the deed of donation was executed by Luisa Consing- Locsin with the consent of her husband, Domingo Locsin.

Tanoy said he will request authority from the members of Sangguniang Bayan to represent the municipality in filing for the adverse claim of the said property for the public market.
