PRO-6 nabs 375 wanted persons in January

A total of three hundred seventy-five individuals with warrants of arrest were taken into custody from January 1 to 31 in Western Visayas, Police Regional Office-6 reported recently.

Of the figure, 70 were most wanted persons and 305 were other wanted persons.

From the 70 arrested most wanted persons,  Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) has the most number of arrests with 29 followed by Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) with 16; Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) with 13; Iloilo City Police Office  (ICPO) with six; Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) with 4; and Antique Police Provincial Office (AntPPO) and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group- Regional Field Unit 6 which one each.

On the 305 arrested other wanted persons, NOCPPO nabbed 142; IPPO – 55; BCPO – 41; CPPO – 16; Aklan PPO – 14; ICPO – 11; AntPPO  – 7; Guimaras PPO – 5 and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Regional Field Unit 6  – 14.

Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, PRO-6 director, commende the accomplishments and performance of the operating units across Western Visayas for the continuous effort in accounting the wanted persons.

“Ipagpatuloy lang natin ang pag monitor at pag huli ng mga indibidwal na may mga warrants of arrest para hindi na sila makagawa ng karagdagang krimen at kaguluhan sa kanilang lugar at magiging tahimik narin ang kanilang lokalidad. Palakasin pa ninyo ang inyong relasyon sa mga tao sa mga barangays, lalung-lalo na sa ating mga barangay officials, force multipliers at advocacy support groups dahil sila ang ating katulong sa pagmomonitor at mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa kanilang kumunidad,” he said.*
