The Capiz Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (PTCAO) participated in the National Statistics Month (NSM), spearheaded by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Capiz Provincial Statistical Office in partnership with the Capiz Provincial Planning and Development Office, which opened at Robinsons Roxas Mall in Pueblo de Panay, Roxas City.
PTCAO put up a booth, which offers an interactive kiosk featuring the office’s newly-developed program where spectators and visitors can get an overview of the tourism situation in the province of Capiz such as the number of tourist arrivals.
The exhibit that will be running is one of the activities implemented in line with the month-long celebration that aims to promote, enhance, and instill nationwide awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of statistics to the different sectors of the society and to elicit the cooperation and support of the general public in upgrading the quality and standards of statistics in the country.
This year’s celebration is anchored on the theme, “Accelerating Progress: Promoting Data and Statistics for Healthy Philippines.” (CTCA)
