Public market to be converted into two-storey mall-market

ROXAS CITY — The city government is planning to transform the Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center (TATC) into a two-storey mall-market.

A part of the building will the second floor, wherein the 54 stalls for the dry goods stores will be placed, City Engineer Noel Laminares said.

The ground floor will be separated into the fish section, seafood section, and spices and vegetable section.

Laminares also said that Mayor Ronnie Dadivas wants to have a two-storey parking area near the Barangay Hall, adjacent to the public market.

The parking area would be connected by a bridge to the TATC.

Laminares said that residents and sidewalk vendors at TATC and near the Injap Building would be prioritized to avail of the spaces at the market.*
