RCCG wins best information office in WV award

The Roxas City Communications Group (RCCG) was awarded as the Best Performing Public Information Office among the five participants in Western Visayas during the recently concluded Search for Best Performing Public Information Office by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region 6.

PIA Capiz Infocen manager Alex Lumaque said qualified for the award are those Information Officers (IOs) with plantilla or designated Information officers doing information, education, and communication group.

For his part,  Melvin Galagate, chief of RCCG and Information Officer III of Roxas city government, said the big factor for their win was their team effort and each of them has their responsibilities and contribution.

He also thanked Mayor Ronnie Dadivas for giving his all-out support to their team.

Since the establishment of RCCG, it has committed to bringing the people of Roxas City into the loop of government operations. It has spearheaded information education campaigns to ensure maximum participation and involvement of all constituents in government programs and projects, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the programs spearheaded by the local government unit and various non-government organizations, the RCCG has played a vital role in documentation and information dissemination as well as in providing artistic, graphic, and publication services to offices that are not equipped to perform such tasks.*with reports from RCCG
