Roxas City, Capiz is this year’s host of the Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Week (RSTW).
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST-6) kicked-off the event last week with a colorful caravan as it prepares for the grand opening on September 10, 2025 at Robinsons Roxas.
No less than DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr. is expected to come during the opening.
Solidum will be joined by DOST-6 Regional Director Rowen Gelonga, DOST Provincial Director Juafe Abareles, and DOST Assistant Provincial Director Ryan Vilmor Dumpit.
This year’s theme of “Siyensya, Teknolohiya at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa at Panatag na Kinabukasan” will feature exhibitions of the newest innovation as well as discussions on the blue economy, disaster resiliency, governance, robotics, education, and other science and technology fields.
There’s also the sub-theme of “Building Smart and Sustainable Communities.”
The DOST-6 has tapped Capiz State University (CAPSU) as its academic partner for this year’s RSTW.
The DOST-6 also has partnership with the Roxas City Government, the Provincial Government of Capiz, and Robinsons Roxas for this year’s hosting.
