A retired policeman was arrested for firearms possession at Dao town, Capiz on January 27.
Nabbed was retired policeman Jose Marin Jr., 60, of Brgy. Malonoy, Dao.
The police report showed that the suspect was seen with a firearm while inside a compound of the school.
Recovered from his possession were one 9mm caliber loaded with 14 live ammunition and one caliber .38 revolver with five live ammunition.
Marin was not able to show the necessary documents for possessing the firearms.
Illegal possession of firearms and violation of the Commission on Elections gun ban were charged against him.*
