Sapian farmers,fisher folks get seed capital

THE Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) released a check to Sapian Farmers and Fisherfolks SLP Association worth P450,000 as seed capital for their milkfish production project.
The Sapian Farmers and Fisherfolks SLP Association comprises of 30 members from the sectors of farming and fishing.
The fish cages of the association are for the tributaries of Sapian Bay in Brgy. Agsilab.
With support from the administration of Mayor Jose Villanueva, the project is a result of collaboration with the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) and the Municipal Social Welfare Development Office (MSWDO).

This project is believed to positively impact the economic development and overall wellbeing of the community in Sapian.

The Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) headed by Deodith Baticbatic assured full support and the provision of technical assistance.
The MAO also assured monitoring during the implementation to ensure the sustainability of the SLP. (DSWD-6)
