Sapian to celebrate Tilibyugan Festival

THE municipality of Sapian will celebrate its annual Tilibyugan Festival on July 18–26.
The celebration will anchor on the theme “Pagtilingub sa Kamalayran et Tanan,” which means
working together for the success of every Sapianon.
On July 26, aside from Thanksgiving mass, one of the highlights will be the Kalanunon Festival Cultural Dance Competition. It is a playground demonstration attended by seven clusters from all schools in town.
According to Mayor Jose Villanueva, the playground demonstration will feature some Capiznon native
delicacies like palitaw, indayinday, bitso-bitso, biko, ibus, and many more.
He also commended all the efforts of those who trained the students to participate in the competition.
The Kalan-unon Festival was partially sponsored by the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
The activities will start with Pamukaw-pukaw (Diana) with Halaran Band, followed by the Opening Salvo Parade Opening Salvo Program, SK and Barangay Night at CTV Gugma Hall and the Food Festival at
RCB Gym on July 18. On July 19, there will be various activities, which will be capped with the food fest.
On July 20, the second Mayor Joe Villanueva “Tilibyugan” Mountain Bike Challenge will be open to all
Sapianons and residents from neighboring towns, along with DepEd Night, a foam party at
the public plaza, and a food fest.

July 24, job fair; Laro ng Lahi; Bugal et Sapian; Balik Sapian; mini concert; and food fest.
July 25, Buntis Month Celebration hosted by Rural Health Unit (RHU); Kalanunanon Food Kiosk; Zumba sa
Plaza with Wowie Deguzman; LGBTQIA+ Day; and PNP Night.
