SBCorp conducts regional roadshow in Capiz

THE Small Business Corporation (SBCorp) promoted its loan programs to potential partner financial institutions (PFIs) and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in a regional roadshow on May 10 held at the Provincial Capitol, here.

The SBCorp is a government financial
organization that off ers loans to MSMEs and is among the attached agencies of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

SBCorp Communications Department Corporate Executive Officer Eloisa Isip said that they chose to pilot in the province for their first regional roadshow this year because of the support of local government units.

Further, she noted that there are already 833 approved accounts for the Capiceños
amounting to P68-million in loans.

The said loan programs aimed at helping the MSMEs to recover from the effects of
the pandemic.

Capiz vice governor Jaime O. Magbanua represented Capiz governor Fredenil Castro in a gathering of about 100 participants for the roadshow.

“If businesses will succeed and develop, this will be an opportunity for our people for local employment and will not need to be away from their family for work,” Magbanua said.

The same activity was also conducted by SBCorp in Tapaz town on May 9.
