SP still to act on proposed P79M supplemental budget

MEMBERS of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan in Capiz have yet to act on the proposed P79 million supplemental budget as part of the province’s COVID-19 response fund.

Board Member Sonny Besa, chair of the SP committee on appropriation, said a hearing was initially set but was moved after the majority of the members moved for a different schedule.

Besa is questioning some of the items on the proposed allocation.

Provincial Budget Officer Antonio Arbis explained that the proposed budget was part of the governor’s directive to
prepare for the COVID surge and that they needed additional personnel and medicines.”*
