Tapaz LGU awarded for barangay program

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tapaz was awarded for its barangay program by the
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG-Capiz) during the Pillar Awards.
Mayor Roberto “Nonong” Palomar said that the Best Implementer of the 2022 Support to
Barangay Development Program (SBDP) was a testament to the municipality’s dedication in
delivering tangible and positive services to its people.
The award was a reflection of the exemplary execution of Tapaz LGU’s development initiatives
within its barangays and showcased a commitment to effective governance and community
advancement.
Palomar emphasized the importance of SBDP initiatives in enhancing the quality of life in
barangays and fostering sustainable growth.
Accepting the award on behalf of Palomar in Roxas City last December 13 were Municipal
Engineer Victorio Jimenez and EnP Stephen Faeldin. They were accompanied by Municipal
Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Vito Navarra.
Meanwhile, Palomar extended his appreciation to the entire LGU employees for their hard work
and collaboration.
