Tapulao: Marijuana not for Capiz

Provincial top cop Colonel Albert Tapulao has reason to believe that the 15 bricks of dried marijuana seized in Panitan town is not intended for sale in Capiz province.

Tapulao said that the marijuana worth around P1.8 million may have only been temporarily unloaded at the bus terminal in Panitan and the final destination is somewhere else. As to where, it remains unknown.

But an initial investigation by the Panitan Municipal Police Stations (MPS) found that the illegal drugs were transported via RoRo Bus.

Major Amy Bulaquina, Panitan MPS chief, said the RoRo bus has a route traveling from San Dionisio town, Iloilo province to Muntinlupa, Metro Manila and vice versa.

Panitan MPS is still coordinating with Muntinlupa police to trace the consignee.

Rustico Diestro at the bus terminal in Panitan stated that the bundles containing the marijuana were unclaimed and bore no identifying name or address.
