THE Capiz Times, the
Voice of the Capiceño, joined
the 2024 Ati-Atihan Festival in
Kalibo town, Aklan province.
No doubt, the Ati-Atihan
is the country’s “Mother of All
Festivals”.
While people from all
over fl ock to Kalibo every third
Sunday of January, there are
those who come as devotees. In
particular, there are those who
come to venerate the Santo Niño
(Holy Child Jesus).
The young and old—be it
Aklanons or visitors—join in
the sadsad, the parade of Santo
Niño devotees who are in a state
of frenzy.
